Nurturing the Spirit at EdenHill: A Community of Compassion and Connection
At EdenHill Communities, caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—is at the heart of everything we do. Our spiritual support services are a vital part of that mission, providing comfort, guidance, and meaningful connection to residents, families, and team members alike.
Led by our full-time chaplain, Rev. Sarah Currie, spiritual life at EdenHill is about meeting people where they are and walking beside them in all seasons of life. Sarah describes her role as offering “non-judgmental, compassionate presence and spiritual companionship,” and her impact resonates throughout every corner of our community.
A Chapel That Welcomes All
Every Sunday at 10 a.m., our beautiful on-campus chapel hosts an inclusive worship service that is open to all residents, families, and staff. Volunteers are available to assist with transportation, and for those who prefer to worship from home, the service is live-streamed each week on our website. Click here to join us virtually.
The service includes sacred music, thoughtful messages, and Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month. For those unable to attend in person, Rev. Sarah personally brings the sacrament to them—ensuring everyone can remain connected to their faith.
A Calendar Full of Faith and Fellowship
Across every unit on our campus, you'll find a vibrant schedule of Bible studies, hymn singing, devotional time, and prayer sessions, often led by Chaplain Sarah and dedicated volunteers. Our chapel also hosts seasonal celebrations, like Advent and Easter services, and beloved traditions such as the Blessing of the Animals.
For families navigating grief, memorial services and bereavement support are thoughtfully provided—bringing comfort and care during difficult times.
Extending Compassion Beyond Our Walls: Flood Relief Effort
Regularly, congregants of the EdenHill Chapel choose both local and national causes to support, like New Braunfels First Footing and Mercy Chefs. In response to the recent devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country, our EdenHill Chapel community launched a Flood Relief Donation Drive which ran from July 6th through August 8th.
Our worshiping community raised $8,573.. Contributions were made by Sunday parishioners, EdenHill residents, and team members through the EdenHill Chapel Fund, designated “flood relief.”
All donations raised went directly to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, coordinated by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. This trusted organization channels essential aid to those most affected.
